Captain Phillips SteelbookDescription: Captain Phillips is a reconstruction of the hijacking of the American container ship Maersk Alabama by Somali pirates. It focuses on Alabama captain Richard Phillips (two-time Oscar winner Tom Hanks; Best Actor 1993 Philadelphia; Best Actor 1994 Forrest Gump) and the Somali pirate leader Muse (Barkhad Abdi) who holds Phillips hostage. The two are on an inevitable collision course when Muse and his men attack Phillips' unarmed ship. During the ensuing standoff both men are at the mercy of forces beyond their control.
